Welcome! This is a group for pioneering, adventurous soap and toiletry makers to learn about new ingredients, and find new uses for some of our old favorites! Stumbled across a new botanical? Tell us about it! Found a cool new use for shea butter? Let us know!

In our continuous quest to produce better bath and body products, we have been searching out lesser known oils and additives to include in our formulas. Each month we will be introducing one of our new 'discoveries' and will spend time experimenting with its use in our soap and toiletry products. Five group members will be sent a sample of the featured product to experiment with and will be posting their results, likes, dislikes, etc. If you would like to be put on our testers list, email the list owner.

We will also be hosting a series of online classes where we can all experiment together in 'real time'. We believe that the free exchange of ideas, coupled with the combined experiences of the group, will help all of us to create better, more effective products for our customers.

Ads and co-ops are not permitted to be posted to the list. There will be two files in the files section entitled "ADS" and "CO-OPS" for the purpose of these types of postings. This group was started as a means to learn, experiment and enhance our knowledge of our business. I feel these types of posts can be distracting. In certain instances, there may be an ad/co-op which directly relates to an upcoming class. In that instance, it may be permitted to be posted directly to the list. However, whether you will be posting your ads/co-op in the files section, or are requesting such postings to be sent directly to the list, prior permission of the list mom is required. This will keep our list properly focused and keep distractions to a minimum.

Most importantly, we want this group to be FUN! So, put on your mad scientist hat, get out your stick blender, and let's get started!
