Re: Daughtersofmoms withBREASTCANCER New to group

You are so right Angela! Every day is a blessing from GOD. I too am a cancer
survivor. I am a 20 year survivor this month and I am so proud to say that as I
have gotten alot of great new family members in that time and I am so thankful I
was here to enjoy each and every one of them! GOD Bless you and your mom ! Stay
positive!!!

I just found this group and want to share something about myself. I am a 3 year
survivor of breast cancer. My mother is a 17 year survivor.

Nothing takes the air out of you like being told you or a love one has cancer,
but it is not hopeless. When I was going thru treatment a friend that had just
finished her chemo told me that it's 'just a bump in the road'. I found it to be
more like a giant 'pot hole'.

Being a bc survivor makes you sit back and realize all of life's blessings that
you had been overlooking. You certainly look at life a little different. For me
this has actually been a positive thing - I no longer take things for granted
and each day is a blessing from God.
