Bay Area Friends (BAF) is the social group for people with genital herpes (HSV1 or HSV2) who live in the San Francisco Bay Area. BAF has @ 3000 members if you also count our members from the BAF Meetup Group. BAF is one of the largest and most active "H" social groups in US! We welcome everyone over 18 who is interested in making new friends, sharing fun activities, and meeting others with our particular situation. For more info, see Bay Area Friends.

BAF is NOT a dating service and offers NO personal ads. Instead, members plan social activities to allow members to meet each other in a comfortable, fun and relaxed atmosphere. It's mostly about making new friends and having fun together. Many romances have also started at BAF events!

BAF has NO DUES and NO FEES, NO officers, NO social directors and NO MONEY. We rely on ordinary members LIKE YOU to volunteer to organize events, such as Hikes, Brunches, Beach Parties, Happy Hours, Camping, BBQ's, House Parties, Ski Trips, Bike Rides, Dancing, Ball Games, Movies, Wine-Tasting, Speed-Dating, Museums, Concerts, Comedy or Theatre, YOU NAME IT! BAF events happen almost every week of the year!

Since herpes does not discriminate, we are a very diverse group of people of all ages and backgrounds. We're especially welcoming to folks who are new to this situation and new to the group. We’ll make sure to introduce you to other friendly people and make you feel at home.
